Babycat Raw Bourbon by Yves Saint Laurent is a leathery vanilla Eau de Parfum from the Le Vestiaire des Parfums collection, created by Master Perfumer Dominique Ropion.

Inspired by the House's iconic leopard print, the fragrance translates its sensual, untamed character into a composition centred on raw Bourbon vanilla. Rather than presenting vanilla purely through sweetness, Ropion explores its darker and more instinctive facets, surrounding it with spices, resins, suede and dry woods.

The result is a bold interpretation of vanilla that reflects the tension at the heart of the Babycat motif: luxurious yet wild, polished yet provocative.

What Does Babycat Raw Bourbon Smell Like?

Babycat Raw Bourbon opens with pink and black pepper, creating an immediate burst of dry, electric spice. Elemi adds a fresh resinous quality that gives the opening additional brightness and texture.

Olibanum and saffron deepen the heart, introducing smoky, balsamic warmth with a subtly leathery edge. This prepares the way for the raw Bourbon vanilla that becomes increasingly prominent as the fragrance develops.

In the dry down, rich vanilla meets supple suede and dry cedarwood. The sweetness remains wrapped in leather, spice and woods, giving the vanilla a darker, more tactile character. The result is a warm leathery vanilla that feels spicy, resinous, woody and sensual rather than conventionally gourmand.
